David’s role is to advise and partner with our clients to help them to do more of what they enjoy and provide protection in the event of adversity. David provides advice across many aspects of your financial world. Most of David’s day is spent understanding the needs of our clients, guiding research in tailored solutions for their circumstances, and providing ongoing support to ensure those plans stay on track.
After working in the claims department of the then Prudential Assurance Company in Sydney in 1989, David decided to return to his hometown of Tamworth to work directly with clients as an adviser. From then and throughout the last 30 years, he’s worked with hundreds of clients.
David’s favourite part of the advice process is finding solutions to people’s problems including those that may be unforeseen and educating clients to make better financial decisions.
David is an active member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA), previously the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and continues his position as Chairman of the New England Chapter of the FAAA, which he commenced in 2015 prior to the FPA merger. David holds tertiary qualifications that are current within the industry and is also registered with the Tax Practitioners Board as a tax (financial) adviser.
Outside of the office, David’s main hobby is motorbikes. This includes riding, following international events such as the MotoGP and Supercross, along with spectating and supporting clubs in the local community. He also enjoys both water and snow skiing, spending time with family and friends, 80s music, and would like to travel more in the future.
